Universal Menu System for Slack Notifications
Every Mavin notification now includes a consistent menu for quick actions, starting with target account management.
Why we built this
We noticed you had to hunt through specific messages to find the "Edit Target Accounts" button, and only certain notifications had it. As we add more actions you can take directly from Slack, we needed a consistent place to surface them - so every notification becomes more actionable without cluttering your channel.
What changed
Universal menu on every notification
Every substantive notification from Mavin now includes a clean menu button (☰) that reveals available actions when you need them.
What this means for you:
- Consistent access - Every buying signal notification, weekly summary, and channel update now has the same menu interface. No more hunting for the right message type to manage your accounts.
- Cleaner messages - Instead of multiple buttons cluttering each notification, you get one menu that expands on demand. Your Slack stays focused on the signals themselves.
- Target account management - Edit your target account lists directly from any notification. View existing lists, create new ones, and organize your accounts without leaving Slack or switching to a dashboard.
- Extensible design - This is the foundation for adding more quick actions as we build features you've requested. Future capabilities will appear in this same menu.
How it works
Click the menu button on any Mavin notification to see available actions. Select "Edit Target Accounts" to view your lists, create new ones, or modify existing ones. Use "Back" to return to the menu, or "Close" to collapse it back to a single button. The menu preserves your message context, so you never lose track of the signal that prompted you to take action.
